Sitting Room: "The Hunt Retreat"

| Designer's Statement: This sitting room blends a traditional "Fox Hunt" motif with the modern look of the frosted screen and stripeds carpet. The wallpaper above the chair rail moulding feels like suede to the touch. |

The lower portion of the chair rail is painted green and set off with a large decorative baseboard. A Roman horse border wraps around the top of the room. The accent colors are deep red, blue and gold, which represent the colors of the hunt attire, in contrast with the neutral and green background, which portray nature. |
| A false pair of French doors are applied to the far wall which opens up the space while maintaining a theme of a country estate. The clever use of a wallpaper mural is the scene behind the doors. A drapery panel is hung on either side of the door to soften the edges and create a dramatic focal point. The panel is then adorned with iron drapery pegs and tiebacks. |
