Designer's Statement:
The client needed help taking care of loose ends for several rooms on the first floor and pulling them all together. In the family room, a custom armoire was designed and built to function as TV/video and wine storage. The movable doors allow the TV area to be closed when not in use, adding cleaner, finished look to the room when entertaining.

A new mantel with a rustic European look was added to the fireplace. Instead of purchasing an expensive stone mantel, a reproduction made of foam allowed the client to stay in budget and achieve the same look. Additionally, new paint in a coordinating color was added throughout the family room and dining room.
The powder room was remodeled as well. Updates included the addition of a pedestal sink and matching toilet. Mirror, lighting and accessories were included to enhance the look. Travertine flooring was installed in the entryway, powder room and laundry room, helping to tie all the rooms togethere and add continuity.

Additional updates not shown include re-stained cabinetry in the hallway and laundry with a coordinating granite ledge added to the pony wall in the entryway and hall linen closet. Lighting was inproved through a chandelier and wall sconces and speakers added to the ceiling.
